Before treatment.

Ideally you could exfoliate and moisturise the area a couple of days prior to your appointment. On the day of your appointment please shower before arrival. If you are coming straight from work, we can provide fresh wipes for your convenience.

How long should hair be?

The hair should be NO SHORTER than a grain of rice (5mm). If you're having Intimate Waxing, the longer the hair, the more uncomfortable it will be, so you can trim the hair before your appointment or we will do it for you.

How long will the results last?

Everyone is different. In most cases, you will see minimal re-growth during the first 3 weeks, with a noticeable increase after that. Continued waxing encourages slower, sparser regrowth.

How often should i be waxed?

If you're serious about maintaining that clean & smooth feeling, I recommend that you come in every 4 weeks for the first 4 appointments. By the 4th wax, you find that the whole thing is a breeze. The discomfort will be greatly decreased and re-growth reduced. You may then find that the you will be able to leave longer gaps between your appointments.

Why get waxed?

Men and women of all ages and from all professions get waxed...more than you would ever dream of. The reasons range from it being cleaner to improving their love life as it heightens sensitivity to hay fever sufferers agreeing that nasal hair removal is better than Piriton.

Age restrictions?

We do not permit Intimate Waxing on anyone under the age of 18. For general waxing treatments of clients under 16 we need parental consent & presence of parent at the appointment.

Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24 hours. This means:

• No hot baths or showers (warm water only).
• No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments.
• No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans).
• No sport, gym work or other exercise.
• Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands.
• Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.
• Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area.
• Use ruff stuff scrub, can be used every day. A organic natural sugar scrub that we highly recommend.

Please note: Some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over 24-48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the salon.

During Treatment

If you're having Intimate Waxing, there will be a need to remove your underwear and there will be some nudity. This will be conducted with strict professionalism.

When not to Wax...

Waxing is appropriate for almost everyone, but do not recommend waxing for persons suffering from diabetes or who have varicose veins or poor circulation as they are more susceptible to infection. Users of Retin-A, Renova, Differin or Isotretinoin are advised not to have waxing performed; these medications tend to weaken the skin and tearing of the skin may occur when the wax is removed. Waxing should not be done on areas of skin affected by warts, pimples, moles or rashes or on skin that is irritated, chapped or suffering from sunburn.

It is the responsibility of the client to discuss any concerns, conditions or medications that may be contra-indicated for waxing when you have your initial consultation.
